Wiggers-Bernard Conference: An international expert consensus initiative on Pre-Clinical Sepsis Studies

We are pleased to share with you the Shock article: “MINIMUM QUALITY THRESHOLD IN PRE-CLINICAL SEPSIS STUDIES (MQTIPSS): AN INTERNATIONAL EXPERT CONSENSUS INITIATIVE FOR IMPROVEMENT OF ANIMAL MODELING IN SEPSIS.”

In May 2017, a Wiggers-Bernard Conference in Vienna was organized by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Trauma and coordinated by Dr. Marcin Osuchowski as an initiative to improve quality and translational efficiency of pre-clinical models of sepsis. The initiative led to the formulation of basic guidelines which have been published as summary statement in the above cited article in the Shock journal. Additionally, the specific details to the individual MQTiPSS points are published in three full-sized articles in the Shock journal
